Our first Camping Trip
Peace Place kids and mentors joined my community group out at lake Sommerville this weekend for a really fun camping trip complete with tents, canoes, hobo dinners, s'mores, lake swimming, hiking, fire time, and lots of playing. It was a first for the kids and I'm pretty sure they want to do it again.
The Peace Place is a home in the Jordan Loop community where elementary school "Children of Promise" from the neighborhood can see the love of Christ lived out as they are loved and led by Christian mentors. We will play, eat dinner, do schoolwork, learn new skills, mourn, rejoice, and get to know and worship Christ together.
